The Journey Begins Here
Quiet Gatherings
In the months before we gather, each participant will meet with Michael one-on-one each month for at least three months, creating space to set intentions, share openly, and build trust. Alongside these individual conversations, the group will come together for a preparation session—an opportunity to connect, be seen, and arrive not as strangers but as companions on the path ahead. These early steps are gentle yet meaningful, reminding us that the journey begins well before our feet touch the island -

Day 1: Land & Let Go
Arrive in Nanaimo → Port Alberni → Tofino
Touch down on Vancouver Island and begin your passage west. We’ll gather in Nanaimo, journey through old-growth forests to Port Alberni for lunch, and pause for a grounding beach meditation as we meet the Pacific. By evening, we’ll settle into Tofino—dinner awaits, followed by time to wander, breathe, and land at your own pace. -

Day 2: Roots & Rhythm
Kayaking → Yoga on the Beach → Tofino
The day opens gently, with breakfast and a paddle to Meares Island, where ancient cedars whisper stories of time and resilience. After lunch, flow into a beachside yoga session, followed by space to rest, play, or explore the coastline. We’ll dine together again in Tofino before another open evening for integration or stillness.

Day 3: Passage to Presence
Coastal Rainforest → Cathedral Grove → Salt Spring Island
After breakfast, we walk the stunning Lighthouse Loop trail, then continue eastward, pausing among the towering Douglas firs of Cathedral Grove. A nourishing lunch in quirky Coombs, then we ferry to Salt Spring Island—where the tempo softens. After dinner, we gather for our preparation session, setting clear intentions for the inner journey ahead.

Day 4: Deepening the Journey
A Day for Inner Exploration
We begin with a guided breath work session, creating space to tune inward. This is a day designed for deep personal exploration—held in a supportive, quiet environment. You’ll be guided throughout, with time for reflection, rest, and reconnection. A light dinner will be served as the day closes with softness and care.

Day 5: Move & Begin Again
Integration Day → Movement → Sauna/Cold Plunge → Death Café
Integration begins with the movement of your body. Guided movement supports the processing of insights - helping them settle, shift and stay. After a slow brunch, we’ll shift between hot sauna and cold plunge, then give you space to wander the town of Ganges, rest at a beach, hike Mount Maxwell, or simply be. After dinner, we’ll gather for a gentle, reflective conversation about life, impermanence, and meaning—our signature Death Café experience.

Day 6: Quiet Return
Departure Day
Enjoy a final breakfast together, then begin your personal journey home—wherever that may be. You carry more than memories. You carry presence, perspective, and a renewed sense of what matters.
Accommodations & dining
Each Signature Passage is grounded in comfort, simplicity, and a deep connection to place.
In Tofino, you’ll stay at one of the region’s top oceanfront resorts - either Long Beach Lodge Resort or Middle Beach Lodge - with private rooms overlooking the Pacific. Mornings begin with salt air and the sound of waves at your doorstep.
On Salt Spring Island, our home base is a private farmhouse surrounded by forest and open sky. It’s rustic yet refined, offering quiet spaces to rest, read, or reflect between days of exploration. Each guest enjoys a private room.
Meals are an extension of the journey - fresh, local, and thoughtfully prepared. We’ve partnered with highly rated local restaurants and caterers who can accommodate most dietary preferences, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free. Over five days, you’ll enjoy nine distinctive dining experiences and four catered meals that celebrate the region’s abundance.
